LinkedIn apes Facebook functionality

LinkedIn is a major player in the social media game when it comes to the business networking crowd. And now it’s stepped up it’s game, taking some inspiration from fellow social networking sites Facebook and Twitter, adding to its groups feature, improving its design and adding more personalisation.

The Wall writes, LinkedIn has something of an identity crisis – it’s both a serious, somewhat po-faced business networking site that also, paradoxically, wants to be down with the kids.

Marketing Wise

For developing business and professional profiles, LinkedIn is fantastic. I often hear people say that they prefer Facebook because it is more interactive and better for networking. I agree; LinkedIn is more static, but it is the perfect complementer to Facebook.
